Hello, new month.

A very cold day today. We had snow flurries, actually, it didn't count as flurries. I know that I saw a few snowflakes, but not enough to qualify for putting on my snow pjs. Yes, when it snows, I put on snow pajamas. Don't you?! Perhaps you should. ;)

I made a pot of chili the Lisa way. No recipe. Added this and that. Remembered the secret ingredient which I'll share here since I know you're not gonna tell anyone. Not really a secret. Cocoa powder. Approximately 1T to taste. It lends a depth and umami (a crazy word but so fun to use) to chili that can't be beat.

Tomorrow I'll make a card for my Dad's wife. Her birthday is next Monday. I'll have just enough time to get it there on time.

Thank you kind people for your replies re my Christmas card. I haven't decided yet. I'd like to make another one or two and see how those turn out. I very much like the watercolor Christmas tree. I really am trying to be less hard on myself. It's an old habit. I am willing to let go of it and just by posting here I am making progress, so it *is* happening. Slowly.
