Found!

Hello, Tuesday.

Spencer and Danielle are coming over for her belated birthday dinner tomorrow night, so I got out the angel food cake pan (way back in the corner cupboard) that gets used just once a year for this occasion since I learned that it's her favorite. Inside was a blue plastic grocery bag and I knew immediately it contained our lost cookie cutters! Yay!

At Christmas, I made pathetic gingerbread circles using a 1/4 cup measure cup because we could not find our cookie cutters. Emerson and I looked everywhere. We knew we had moved them with us. Unless they were tossed by accident? We figured they were in the kitchen, but we opened every cupboard, every drawer...no luck. After the sad gingerbread circles, I decided to scrap making sugar cookies, though they would have looked better as circles probably than the gingerbread did. At least they could have passed for ornament balls. I thought about buying a couple of new cookie cutters and never did. 

It didn't dawn on me to look inside the angel food cake pan in the rear of the lower corner cabinet. Not sure why they ended up there, but I found them today. We put the pan there because it is only used once a year for Danielle's birthday. Why the cookie cutters got stuck inside is a mystery. I know we were all beyond exhausted. I'm so happy to have found them maybe I'll make sugar cookies for Easter.
