Grace

Hello, friends.

It is Tuesday. Earlier today I was certain it was Wednesday. Whoops. I even asked my dear husband why he put out the trash today? Then reminded him that it was Wednesday, with a grin. For a few seconds, I silently thought that my dear husband, that poor guy, he's really tired and he's been working too hard...just before he smiled kindly and gently said, "It is Tuesday." I thought he was wrong. I paused. And finally, it dawned on me that he was correct. I was wrong.

Gosh, why he is the one who is usually right?! :) 

A friend noted my absence yesterday. I am in the middle of Christmas Crunch, which lasts 3-7 days depending on how much I have given myself to do and how late I actually started. No post yesterday. Instead, I gave myself some grace. I ended a posting streak that started on August 10. As you can see, I am quite human -- I make mistakes and need grace now and again for all kinds of reasons. Mailing Christmas cards with the annual holiday letter is checked off my list! Done! At the rate I'm going, I'll check it twice.
