It's Weirdo Car Photo Tuesday!

Hello Tuesday, February 2. I was reminded that today is Groundhog Day. We had a scheduled outing to Roanoke today. Despite the Wind Advisory (20 to 30 mph wind with gusts to 50 mph from 10 pm last night until 7 am tomorrow morning), the blowing snow, and slushy rock-salted roads, we left the house at 6:50 am and went anyway.

I took my phone with me, of course. Other than texting, it is most often used for the camera. I have to laugh at myself because I remember when I first got a smartphone, I thought I'd never check email on my phone since I had a computer at home, and further, a camera in a phone was just ridiculous. Wrong and wrong. My bad.

I took photos on the way there and back snagging numerous 'decent' shots for future Weirdo Car Photos. My intent going forward is to post one Weirdo Car Photo every Tuesday.

So what is a "Weirdo Car Photo"? I take photos on my trusty iPhone 8 when I'm the passenger on our way somewhere. I particularly like lights, landscapes, statues, cows, or whatever grabs my attention. I also enjoy angles so my photos are rarely level. And since I'm sitting in the car when I'm taking a photo of something outside the car, the photo is blurry but sometimes also oddly in focus. Or an interesting mix of both depending on what the camera focused on. I don't alter the photos (much).

I started doing this a while back when my dear husband was driving on a long trip and I, the passenger, was tired of reading. It was just a goof. For fun. Still is. But over the years, I have archived the 'good' ones.
