O Christmas Tree...Card

Last year I made a snow(o)man on a card against a backdrop of a night sky. But I lacked confidence in my drawing and art skills and so that card sat on top of my printer and I threw it away sometime around Easter. I wish I'd saved it.

This was my third attempt at making a card this year. The first had a snow family next to a Christmas tree. The second just had a Christmas tree, but still, it wasn't yet right. This one, I can live with. Instead of saying what I don't like about this card, I will instead say that I am hopeful it will copy well enough to mail to my family and friends. On the copies, I will add a touch of glitter to the star on top and a few ornaments to sparkle. I will not be embarrassed to send this card. It represents what I can do now, who I am now, and that I feel good enough about my art to share it. And for three seconds, I thought I was gonna have to grab a tissue. One deep breath and I've recovered.

Perhaps I am starting a new tradition. Homemade Custom Christmas cards!
